We’re the Carters, and we’re honored to introduce ourselves as the creatives behind Little Poppy June. We were both born and raised in the beautiful state of Michigan and currently live in the wedding capital of the world — Las Vegas! Some of our core values would be our family, spirituality, love, positivity, authenticity, creativity and connection. These are the things that ground us and keep us centered.
We partner with amazing couples to bring their wedding details to life. We don’t simply capture a vision. We truly strive to celebrate love. Every couple is truly unparalleled, with a dynamic that is intimately they’re own. Our mission is to capture every detail that makes your partnership original with a novel design that makes you swoon for each other all over again.
I’m the storyteller of this little duo of ours. My love for the arts started with my love for literature. I could always be found with a book in my hand. This hobby soon led me down the path of writing myself— everything from poetry to screenplays. My passion for weddings began early on as well, from shows like “Say Yes to the Dress”. I was hooked! Constantly creating wedding mood boards and designs. Now I have the privilege of combining three things that I absolutely love— writing and weddings, all while working beside my best friend and greatest love.

My name is Preston! My background in design started with “How to Draw!” books. My brother and I drew cars, jets, robots, characters and the like. Then graduating to digital art in our basement office with my father, messing around in Photoshop. It grew into an early passion of mine as I was determined to get better and better. And now after over a decade in the graphics industry, I’m so happy I get to share that passion with others— most of all my wife.

Our union sparked the creation of “Little Poppy June.” Initially, we hadn’t considered a wedding website until our wedding during the pandemic shifted our perspective. I used to view weddings traditionally—selecting a date, sending invitations, and celebrating with guests. However, with most of our family in Michigan and us getting married in Las Vegas, we wanted our loved ones to feel connected to our journey.
That’s how our wedding website was born, featuring countless sections from wedding details to travel recommendations. The most special part was our love story page, allowing us to share our journey with family who hadn’t met either myself or Preston in person. Our website became a bridge, connecting our families to our love. This experience revealed the power of a meaningful wedding website—it’s not just about logistics; it fosters connection. This passion led to the birth of Little Poppy June.
behind the name “Little Poppy June”When deciding on a name for our business, I wanted something that equally reflected us both. Our initials, P and J, play a significant role in our lives together. So, I knew I wanted our initials to be incorporated. Poppy flowers are among my favorites, symbolizing joy and love. So, Poppy became a shoe in. With June being one of the top wedding months, it was an easy choice. I fell in love with the combination, believing it was a perfect fit for our brand. I discovered that Poppy June was already taken and was initially devastated and extremely stressed! I could not imagine what could be more fitting to represent us. We brainstormed and landed on the “Little” addition. It took some getting used to, but I eventually fell in love with our new identity. Together, Little Poppy June captures our love and playful spirit as a couple and our ultimate passion of celebrating love!
